When Michel Colin semi-retired in 2004, he divided most of his estate between his two sons, Philippe and Bruno. Bruno’s 8 hectares span the Chassagne Montrachet appellation. Bruno’s style blends Burgundy’s tell-tale minerality with luxuriant fruit. In 2015 he has harnessed the richness of the vintage’s nature checked by bright freshness. Picking decisions were important in 2015, and Bruno was relatively early out of the blocks, meaning he maintained low pH and vibrant acidities in his wines. This complements the juicy stone fruit flavors and naturally chiseled nuttiness of Chassagne so well.
Very fresh and precise wine with aromas of almonds, hazelnuts and fresh fruit. Remarkably complete, harmonious and elegant with excellent freshness. Good balance between the rich aromas and lively finish. This wine can be enjoyed in its youth and ages very well.
