90 % Sangiovese; 10% Merlot. The soil is predominantly loam and sand with some clay and a larger proportion of stone and chalk. It's in the commune of Sinalunga, southeast of Siena and northeast of Montepulciano at 200-550m of elevation with southwest orientation. Aged in small and medium-sized casks for 8-12 months’ maturation. 4-6 months’ bottle-ageing.
