Critical Acclaim

Wine Enthusiast 90 - Aromas of white flower and ripe orchard fruit lead the way. The creamy palate doles out crisp apple, Bartlett pear and a hint of lemon zest alongside fresh acidity. It closes clean and crisp.

James Suckling 89 - A yellow-apple-driven nose that is also based on pear drops and smoky herbs. A round and pretty palate. Denser style. Drink now. Screw cap.

Wine Advocate 88 - From the mighty Dolomites, the 2016 Pinot Grigio (in a screwcap bottle) is an easy-drinking expression to pair with salads or take-out sushi. The wine is crisp and clean, reflecting the pristine qualities of the Italian mountains that characterize this territory. The wine reflects cool-climate aromas that are bright and crisp. This vintage offers better balance and persistence than most.

Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio is a brilliant straw yellow with green shimmer. There are quite pronounced and expressive aromas of flowers with somewhat spicy notes. There is rich flavor in the mouth, with slight smokiness at the back and a good, fresh finish. Pairs well with fish or meat starters, pates and terrines, fish and shellfish, poultry, white meat and mushrooms.
