This fresh, lively dry white is made of the Cortese grape, which is the grape used to make Gavi di Gavi in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Straw yellow color. Zesty citrus fruit and lightly floral characters, with hints of apple and pear. Fresh, steely acidity and underlying mineral characters, balanced by notes of melon and stone fruit, and a touch of fennel and spice. Lemon/lime citrus fruit and hints of pignolia nuts on the finish. Serve with cold seafood antipasto or with garlicky shrimps.
