Wine Advocate 91 - Lastly, the 2012 Berola is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French and American small oak barrels for ten months, and an additional 14 months in bottle prior to release. Loads of almost floral notes jump from the glass of this fragrant, deep ruby/purple wine. It is medium to full-bodied, showing good spice box, licorice, blackcurrants and black cherries. It is a sexy, seductive, luscious wine that should drink well for another 2-4 years.
Wine Spectator 89 - Black cherry, plum, black olive and clove flavors mingle in this harmonious red. Light tannins and lively acidity keep this balanced and focused. Graceful. Drink now through 2018.
Intense cherry red color. Remarkable aromatic complexity with memories of black fruit and balsamic and toasted touches. Warm and gentle in the mouth, with soft but persistent tannins in perfect balance with the alcohol.
