A full bodied and elegant red wine from the Barolo zone in the langhe area in Piemonte made by the great Cavallotto from the tiny village Castiglione Falletto in Piemonte. The wine is made of 100% Nebbiolo grapes and originate from the Vignolo vineyard from the Bricco Boschis hill. This Barolo is a classical style Barolo. The wine is aged for more than 4 years in large Slovenian oak barrels.
Vignolo is Cavallotto’s “other” Riserva, from very old vines situated next to Bricco Boschis. A little more floral and approachable in its youth than the San Giuseppe, but this is also a great example of deep, brooding Nebbiolo for the long haul.
