Wine Spectator 91 - A ripe version, exuding pear, peach, butterscotch and spice flavors. Broad and powerful, ending with mouthwatering acidity. Opulent and long. Drink now through 2020.
Wine Advocate 90 - The 2015 Macon Chardonnay Clos de la Crochette has an enticing bouquet with hints of almond and walnut infusing the citrus fruit, nicely defined with good lift, quite generous compared to others. The palate is well balanced, a little more rounded in texture, with fresh citrus lemon and lime on the entry, It comes across as being quite saline toward the finish that feels lilting and nonchalant, so I recommend enjoying this over the next six or seven years.
This wine has a beautiful, pure, ripe yet balanced nose, with a wonderful concentration of fresh pear and peach. The balance of acidity is excellent and the wine is really persistent.
