From a vineyard on the Vosne side of the village, with prominent white limestone and relatively little topsoil. This has more mid-palate than this site sometimes delivers, with a fascinating combination of Nuits minerality and Vosne richness. Lovely, complete, very rich and well-balanced. When I tasted this from barrel, it had that extraordinary finish where the flavors fan out across your palate like a peacock's tial unfolding, leaving you salivating for just another sip. Amazing!
