Dark blackberry, cassis, cinnamon, cedar, touch of dried tobacco, vanilla, and chicory. Rich on the palate, nice balanced acid with elegant structure. Lengthy finish with flavors of dark berries, cocoa, cinnamon, and a hint of mixed dried herbs.
Jeb Dunnuck 92 - The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Mountain is cut from the same cloth, with plenty of plum and currant fruits being supported by exotic spice, orange blossom, violets, and sandalwood-like aromas and flavors. It too is medium to full-bodied, has good balance, ripe and integrated tannins, and outstanding length. It should keep slightly longer, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve for 10-15+ years in cold cellars. Best After 2022
James Suckling 92 - A toasted nose with ripe redcurrants and blackberries. Medium-to full-bodied. The silky tannins carry the succulent fruit with a steady hand. A little leather and tobacco comes through towards the end. Tasty stuff. 80% cabernet sauvignon, 8% merlot, 5% malbec, 3% cabernet franc, 3% petit verdot and 1% syrah. Vegan.
