International Wine Report 93 - The 'SRH' Pinot Noir is sourced from 55% Radian & 45% Sanford & Benedict in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. This beautiful wine slowly opens to pretty aromas of fresh red berries, crushed stones and damp soil nuances, after some air contact the floral notes begin to take shape. On the palate this possesses a soft and supple texture, backed by a bright core of acidity keeping it fresh and balanced. While Liquid Farm may be most known for their incredible Chardonnay, they are certainly making a very serious run at Pinot Noir with only their second attempt. Overall, this is a simply fantastic effort from the team at Liquid Farm, which should continue to drink well over the course of the next decade.
The 'SRH' is a harmonious, structured and (in a good way) "moody" (think fog at Big Sur) wine. It will reward with even more patience than the 'SMV' which is currently a bit more "open" of the two.
