Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG Current Vintages: 2014 Deep ruby red color that lessens on the rim; blackberry notes open the olfactory test, which turns in the final to spicy aromas. On the palate, you feel the still young but well balanced tannins thanks to the considerable glycerine mass.

Briziarelli winery was born in 2002, thanks to the ambitious project of Pio Briziarelli, a real innovator man who loved this land and decided to expand his business also in wine. Briziarelli group is still today leader in the bricks industry.
The estate is owned by the Briziarelli family, founded in 1906 by the patron of Pio Briziarelli (1878-1966). Over the years, the company has acquired numerous plots of land in areas of particular interest, including 50 hectares in the heart of the famous production area of the Sagrantino di Montefalco.
Since 2002, 17 hectares of vineyards have been planted, all titled in Montefalco Rosso DOC or Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG. The company also has 4 hectares of vineyard with white grapes (Grechetto, Viognier, Trebbiano Spoletino). The screws are treated with meticulous care to obtain the best possible quality
Our main varietal are red: Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sirah, but the most authentic and noble vine is Sagrantino.
