This Champagne is a blend of Chardonnay (53%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Pinot Meunier (17%) harvested on the oldest plots of the vineyard, so that they had enough time to be immersed into the soil’s richest qualities.
Only the “tête de cuvées” wines (first press wines) were selected and vinification took place in small oak barrels.
A 7 year minimum ageing in the House’s deep cellars.
The colour is a bright aged gold.
The nose discloses lightly smoked and vanilla aromas with fine shades of red berries and white flowers fragrances.
The taste is a reflection of the scents with a delicate wooden touch.
An undisputed success as an aperitif with friends. Even better with hot oysters, as Champagne jelly, on sea urchins, or even crab or caviar.
It can be kept in a cool cellar, away from light, bottle laid flat for more than 10 years.
