Selbach Riesling Incline 2019

( 1 Review )

The Selbach ‘Incline’ was produced by Johannes Selbach to simply outshine all Mosel Rieslings at, or near, its price point. The name Incline was chosen to honor the impossibly steep sloped terroir of the Mosel from which these grapes are grown. Vinified in stainless steel, with just a hint of residual sugar, this wine vividly represents all that Mosel wine should be – fruity with vibrant acidity, clarity, and precision; all highlighted by intense slate-driven minerality. As an introduction to what one can gleam from great Mosel wine, Selbach’s ‘Incline’ is incredible.

Incline has just a touch of residual sugar - not enough to make the wine sweet, but just enough to perfectly balance the racy, crisp acidity and minerality for which German Riesling is so famous.

Fresh-tasting, with snappy green apple and ripe citrus flavors flanked by plenty of savory and herbal notes. Lemon drop accents show on the finish. Drink now.

Lively & bright

This is an excellent value for the price point. Bright acidity balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. Not overly complex, but still carries a touch of petrol on the nose with stone fruit, honeysuckle, and mineral notes on the palate. Pairs fantastically with Thai food!
