The 2014 Levitation Syrah is a blend of Lewis Vineyard, Les Collines Vineyard, French Creek Vineyard, and Stoney Vine Vineyard. The resulting wine is exotic and aromatic, full of dark red and purple fruits like plums and brambly blackberries, savory undertones of fresh game, perfectly integrated tannins, and fresh acidity. The finish is persistent and lengthy, and this wine should age beautifully for the next 10-12 years.
Critical Acclaim

The Wine Advocate 94 - Already bottled and 100% Syrah that saw 40% whole clusters, the 2014 Syrah Levitation is a ripe, sexy, full-bodied beauty that’s loaded with black and blue fruits, pepper, licorice and savory herb aromas and flavors. Despite the masses of fruit, it has solid underlying structure and will cruise for a decade or more.

Wine Enthusiast 92 - A blend of fruit from Lewis Vineyard, Les Collines and Stoney Vine, this wine offers aromas of cherry, blackberry, earth, licorice, smoked meat, violets and herb. The flavors are dense are pure, bringing a pleasing mouthfeel and a long cherry-filled finish.

Wine & Spirits 92 - Levitation draws mostly from Walla Walla sources, including Les Collines and Stoney Vine, Trey Busch’s estate vineyard in the Rocks District. And there’s a sanguine note here that speaks of The Rocks, with flavors of mocha and black plum. Its herbal edge and peppercorn spice give a finish that’s surprisingly fresh and, well, lifted, in keeping with its name.

Wine Spectator 91 - Dark and powerfully built, with floral boysenberry and smoked pepper aromas leading to layered flavors of black raspberry and espresso. Finishes with fine tannins. Drink now through 2022.
